Working to support 12% of looked-after young people (age 17 – 19) gaining a place at university as they age out of care.  Currently only 6% of the 17 – 19 year olds transition to university.

As they progress through adulthood more Care Leavers do successfully access higher education (12% by age 23+); yet we also recognise that 49% of 17-19 year old care leavers are identified as NEETS (not in education, employment or training) and they have a 50% likelihood of becoming homeless, incarcerated or unemployed in this period.

The Care Leavers Covenant 

The Covenant is a promise made by private, public or voluntary organisations to provide support for care leavers aged 16-25 to help them to live independently.
