The days were long but never empty,
Full of energy from the Lucozade, God forbid I mention Pepsi.
The days were cheerful but sometimes gloomy
Some days I thought ‘no-one really knows me’.
There were days of screams and a day of none,
And another where I wanted to pull a fast one.
These were days we’ll want to remember.
The days we’ll reminisce about in September.
These are the days we won’t forget;
The days without regret
The days where we wanted to quit
The days of being a kid.
To the stars who didn’t want to be in the sky
But stayed: the view’s not that bad right?
To the stars who wanted to be in the sky
and stayed: never stop shining.
To the stars who wanted to fall but held on:
To the stars who fell but made a miraculous
comeback: It was worth the trip.
To the constellations who led the stars and
made them shine brighter than they ever have:
Thank you for making the days in the sky
entertaining, comical and memorable.
